Progress

Well, we finally have something to show for ourselves.

We spent the weekend sanding, tacking, and painting, over and over and over again. It's enough to drive a person to claim the painting territory directly next to the liquor cabinet so she can spend the tedious hours contemplating which bottle would put her out of her misery fastest.

(Well, hello painter's little helper, waiting so patiently on the bottom shelf!)

We are now finished with Leg #1 of the cabinet painting journey. The frames of the upper cabinets are done. We left the sunflower yellow on the back wall of the cabinets because it made us happy.

Tomorrow the counters will be installed!

As Soon As It Hits 40 Degrees...

...all of the crazies come out.

They sweep the melted-snow lake off our driveway and they get down to a mean game of Dads Against Kids. They play until it's too dark to see, then come inside and complain about how hot it is out there.

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing...

Well, we don't have any kitchen updates because nothing has been happening. We're still waiting for the counters and sink, still washing dishes in the bathtub, and still haven't started painting the cabinets.

So, to keep the excitement up, we'll show you what our kitchen is going to look like sometime in the not-too-distant future:

Light blue walls, white cabinets and trim, grey quartz countertops and nickel hardware.

Can you picture it? We sure can.
